Few of the ingredients are the same in all detergents. Other than that, most detergents have even one different ingredient. So, to say that all Arm & Hammer products have or do not have detergent will be stupid.

When we talk about Arm & Hammer detergents, there are liquid and powder detergents. And there are many different liquid and powder detergents.

How to Figure Out if a Detergent has Bleach or Not?

If you want to know if Arm & Hammer detergents have bleach or not, you need to make sure which specific detergent you want to know about. After deciding which detergent you want, you need to know about the ingredients of that specific detergent. And then, you will need to know about the ingredients of bleach.

  • Checking the Ingredients: If the ingredients of bleach and that detergent are similar, then we can say that the detergent contains bleach. And if the detergent and bleach ingredients are not similar, then that detergent does not contain bleach.
  • Detergents that Contain Bleach: Another thing to note is that some detergents come with bleach. People buy that detergent; they don’t have to wear extra bleach while washing. It’s a pretty logistic strategy that saves both money and work.
  • Two in one: It is obvious that those detergents work as detergents and bleach. And they contain bleach properties in them. And Arm & Hammer also has a few detergents that come with bleach. So, it is safe to say that some Arm & Hammer detergents do have bleach.
  • Alternative of Bleach: Many detergents are also used as an alternative. And this is like having bleach in the detergent, so you don’t have to use bleach separately. And this detergent will not harm your clothes like chlorine bleach. And chlorine bleach fades the fibers of the fabric. So, using bleach alternatives can be proven beneficial as well.

Bleach’s Ingredients

Now, I’m going to describe bleach and its ingredients. If you understand the components of bleach, then it will be very easy to determine whether that detergent has bleach.

Bleach is a chemical product that removes color, stain, and marks from materials. Bleach comes in liquid and powder forms. The liquid bleach is a dilute solution of sodium hypochlorite. And powder bleach usually means a formulation that contains calcium hypochlorite.

In many household bleaches, chlorine, a powerful oxidizer, is an active agent. Pure chlorine is a toxic, corrosive gas. Bleach usually contains hypochlorite. And hypochlorite releases chlorine.

Oxygen bleaches do not contain chlorine. And they are usually based on peroxide. Oxygen bleaches are hydrogen peroxide, sodium peroxide, or sodium perborate. These bleaches are also known as non-chlorine bleaches.

Any detergent that contains these ingredients contains bleach. So, if you want to find out if a detergent has bleach, you need to look out for these ingredients.

Now, I’m going to talk about an Arm & Hammer detergent that contains bleach.
